Fr. Barrett's Book Club

Fr. Barrett's Book Club 7:00 - 9:00pm, Jan. 27, 2026 Hickey Hall Parish Center.
Fr. Jim Barrett loved leading the OLPH Book Club. The Book Club had been growing in popularity with each book.
To honor Fr. Jim, we will keep Fr. Barrett's Book Club running. Parishioner and Co-Leader of our Ministry of Care at OLPH, Jim Vlazny, has volunteered to facilitate the January Book Club.
The Book that will be featured is "An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s" by Doris Kearns Goodwin

One of America’s most beloved historians, Goodwin artfully weaves together biography, memoir, and history that she and her husband, Richard (Dick) Goodwin, embarked upon in the last years of his life. Both Doris and Richard worked in the White House during an interesting time in American history.
Please let Jim Vlazny know if you are attending so there will be enough seats. Email Jim at jamesvlazny@aol.com

Members of the OLPH Book Club constantly search to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith. Members read and discuss books on theology, history, spirituality, Biblical studies, Vatican documents, peace studies, Catholic Action, and the Rapture. The club is interested in books that give insight into the way God works in the human heart.
