Children Preparing For The Sacrament of Confirmation

At Our lady of Perpetual Help Church, students in seventh and eighth grade prepare to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation. Since students of this age are mature enough to make their own decisions about receiving this sacrament, the students are responsible for their own work, independent of their parents. Our Lady of Perpetual Help, along with The Archdiocese of Chicago, requires participation in a religious education program for a minimum of two consecutive years for sacramental preparation prior to receiving a sacrament. Visit our religious education page or school website for more information.

Adult Confirmation

We welcome people of all ages into our community. The process for welcoming adults into the Roman Catholic faith is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
