Commissioning Mass 9:00am, Sunday, June 25
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick
Covid is mostly over, and OLPH Parish has not had a formal Minister of Care Commissioning Mass since 2019! On Sunday, June 25, at 9:00am Mass, 15 new Ministers of Care to the Sick and Homebound will be formally commissioned by the Archdiocese of Chicago. These men and women of our parish have completed their initial formation which consisted of a training program of six parts. Ministers of Care visit the sick and homebound with the Holy Eucharist, share with them the word of God in scripture, pray with them for the Church and the world, and offer them companionship. Ministers of Care are a sign of the support and concern that our Church has for the sick, the elderly, the homebound, or anyone experiencing a time of need.
All Ministers of Care are invited to attend this Mass to receive a special blessing, and we especially congratulate the following new Ministers of Care:
