The Parish business office is being relocated from the rectory to the new Parish Ministry Center. To facilitate the move, it’s necessary to temporarily close the business office.

The rectory office will close Friday October 6, at 12 noon and remain closed through the evening. The office will reopen, in its new location, the Parish Ministry Center (former convent), Saturday, October 10 at 9 a.m.

Serving at the altar is a privilege for many boys and girls here at OLPH. Servers are given the responsibility for carrying the cross and candles in procession and assisting the priests at the liturgy. The actions of the altar servers highlight the ceremony and rituals that are so much a part of the liturgy that we celebrate.
Young girls and boys from the parish in grades 5-8 are welcome and encouraged to participate as Altar Servers.

In order to protect our young people, the Archdiocese requires that any volunteer working with our youth attend Virtus Training and agree to a background check.

OLPH Religious Education will be hosting a VIRTUS program onsite on October 18 in McDonnell Hall at 7:00 pm.  These training sessions normally last about 2- 2 ½ hours.

Youth Ministry hosted Mass and a picnic at the beach this past Sunday. Fr. A special thank you to Fr. Lara for his willingness to say the Mass. And hats off to Cherie DiCesare and Sara for their enthusiasm, help and participation. It was a hot but perfect day. Thanks to all who joined in the celebration.

We are excited to formally welcome Jim Dollard to our parish staff as Director of Finance and Operations. Jim joined OLPH in July and has spent the last couple of months becoming familiar with our parish operations, acqainted with church and school staff members, joining committee meetings, overseeing campus improvements and stewardship activities while also meeting many of the volunteers that help OLPH remain a vital and dynamic parish.

The OLPH Men’s Club would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered and supported the 8th Annual OLPH Outdoor Mass and Block Party and which occurred Saturday, September 9. Led by Fr. Boland and our wonderful priests, our parish celebrated mass together on the rectory lawn and then enjoyed a wonderful night of food, games and plenty of socializing, all the while supporting Sr. Paulanne’s Needy Family Fund and the many great causes of the Men’s Club.
